????To celebrate the International Childhood Cancer Day, IAP Mumbai organized a Fun N Frolic Morning filled with Mandala Art Colours , laughter, dance, music and yummy cake with the kids in the Oncology OPD at the B.J.Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai on the 14th Feb, 2023 between 10 -12 pm.
????Mandala Art Colouring DIY kits were distributed and the entire OPD waiting area was transformed into a party area with colourful balloons , streamers and a special Cancer Warrior Photobooth.
????Around 65 kids and their parents participated very enthusiastically in the event.
????An interactive session for Parents on “How to Cope with Cancer Diagnosis ” by Mrs.Savita Goswami, senior Psychooncologist from Tata Memorial Hospital helped the parents to learn techniques to cope with Cancer Diagnosis.
Dr. Sangeeta Mudaliar, HOD of Hematoncology department at Wadia Hospital along with residents and fellows joined in to motivate the kids to dance. The kids danced their heart out on their favourite songs which were happily played by Dr.Amruta Shirodkar, who lovingly became the DJ for the party. Dr. Nehal Shah , felicitated the speaker and distributed special IAP Warrior Certificates to all the Cancer Warriors. Refreshments were served to the parents and kids.
The entire event was co ordinated by EB member, Dr Reepa Agrawal.
