National Nutrition Month celebrations, a drawing competition

🌺As a part of the National Nutrition Month celebrations, a drawing competition was organized for the beneficiaries of the POSHAN supplementation for the nutritional rehabilitation of undernourised underprivileged children registered at the NGO BalAsha at Worli, Mumbai on 21st September, 2024.

🌺IAP Mumbai contributed to this project by supporting monthly POSHAN packets given away to 50 children for a period of 6 months. A drawing competition on the theme of Nutrition – The road to good health was organized under 2 categories of age groups 6-12 and 12-18 years. Around 48 children participated. Prizes were given to the first three winners and certificates and gifts to all participants.

🌺A display of all the components of a food pyramid with a short write up on their nutrititive value was also put up for children to learn. An entertainment program by the inmates of the BalAsha was an added feature of the entire program. There was great enthusiasm reflected in the volunteers, organizers and the parents of the children who had traveled from various areas to attend the event.

🌺Dr Nehal Shah and renowned artist and painter Mr Arvind Sawant were judges for the drawing competition.
