National Safe Motherhood Day

🌺IAP Mumbai celebrated National Safe Motherhood Day at Charkop Maternity Home with antenatal mothers visiting the hospital’s Out Patient Department.

🌺A talk on ‘Safe Motherhood Practices’ was taken covering care during both antenatal and postnatal periods.

🌺Dr. Arpita Shah covered topics ranging from Preconceptional counseling, ANC care and danger signs in all 3 trimesters. Diet, exercise and personal hygiene in ANC and PNC period, vaccination, breastfeeding and positive mental health importance was emphasized.

🌺The talk was interactive with string of questions asked by expectant mothers.

🌺Poshan packets containing Jaggery and chickpeas were distributed amongst ANC mothers after the talk.

🌺Team IAP Mumbai is thankful to Dr Vijaya Kharat M.O. Of maternity home to provide us the opportunity for the same and Dr Devesh Tiwari IAP member for his support.

🌺The entire program was co ordinated by Dr Arpita Shah on behalf of Team IAP Mumbai.
