World Breastfeeding Week

🌺The Department of Pediatrics, TNMC and BYL Nair Hospital in collaboration with IAP Mumbai and MBPC celebrated the World Breastfeeding Week in the form of a full day workshop for the 2nd year Nursing students on the 28 th. July 2025.

🌺The workshop was inaugurated by all the faculties of the Department of Pediatrics & Nursing students with their tutors and Vice principal of the school of nursing.

🌺The workshop covered various aspects of Breastfeeding like –
by Dr Kailas Randad Associate Professor & In-Charge NICU,
▪ Human Milk Bank guidelines, Dr Akash Sarkar, Assistant Professor, Dr Neha Bhongale,Assistant Professor, Ms Sangeeta, Lactation Counsellor, Dr Jaya Khatri, Senior Resident, Dr Kirti Pediatric Neurology Fellow, Dr Poonam Wade, Professor Additional, Dr Sushma Save Professor Additional Dr Alpana Kondekar, Professor, Dr Vishal Sawant, Assistant Professor NICU and
Dr Amrita Mehta Assistant Professor.

🌺The workshop had interesting case studies and role plays with active participation from the students, and faculties as well. It was highly appreciated by all attendees.

🌺Total participants were 100 including the sister tutors.

🌺The entire program was coordinated by Dr Sushma Save, Dr Jaya Katri & Dr Akash Sarkate with the support and encouragement from Dr Surbhi Rathi & Dean Dr Shailesh Mohite.
