Importance of breastfeeding

🌺World Breastfeeding Week was celebrated by the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Byculla (Central Railway Hospital) in collaboration with IAP Mumbai on 2nd August 2025.

🌺A session on “Importance of breastfeeding” was conducted by doctors from the Pediatrics team to spread awareness among new and expectant mothers. The audience was also educated about proper technique of breastfeeding.

🌺Approximately 30 mothers and caregivers benefited from direct counselling sessions. A positive feedback was received from the participants. Many first-time mothers expressed confidence in initiating and continuing breastfeeding.

🌺The session was organized by Dr. Dipti Jain and Dr. Anita Manoj on behalf of Team IAP Mumbai.
