🌸World Breastfeeding Week

🌸On the occasion of Breastfeeding Week , a Breastfeeding awareness session was conducted on 5/8/26 at BSES hospital, Andheri West by Dr Maithili Joshi, our member of IAP Mumbai, for new mothers in PNC ward.

🌸 Dr Maithili Joshi spoke on importance of starting breastfeeding early, benefits of Breastfeeding for baby and mother and also the society.
She explained different breastfeeding positions, correct latching, adequacy of breast milk, hand expression, mechanical expression, the issues in Breastfeeding eg engorgement, cracked nipples, mastitis etc and troubleshooting.
Mother’s were given confidence to breastfeed and explained about necessity to ask for help whenever needed.

🌸The session was co ordinated by Dr Maithili Joshi on behalf of BSES hospital and Dr Nita Jagad on behalf of IAP Mumbai.
