World Autism Awareness Day – Neurodiversity in Classroom

🌺IAP Mumbai on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, organised a special online session for the teachers and counsellors on soft neurological signs that would help to suspect children with ASD.

🌺The talk on Neurodiversity in Classroom was taken by expert, Dr Priyanka Parikh, Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician.

🌺It was attended by a houseful of 100 participants on zoom and more than 33 on the YouTube.

🌺She discussed on the diverse presentations of these children and the aspects of handling children with behavioural issues & ASD in classroom. This was followed by a 20 minutes interactive session where multiple queries of the participants were answered.

🌺This was an attempt to also reach out to this section of the community who are the second point of contact for growing children after their home in tune with IAP ki Baat.. Community ke Saath
