Ambient Air Pollution – Impact on Child Health and Solutions

🌺”Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem..”

🌺To commemorate World Environment Day, IAP Mumbai, along with IAP National Respiratory Chapter (NRC) conducted a solution-driven webinar on “Ambient Air Pollution – Impact on Child Health and Solutions” on 5th June, 2025 from 9.00 – 10.45 pm on the zoom platform.

🌺The event was kickstarted by Dr Samir Dalwai who paid tribute to Maa Earth in his inimitable Bollywood dialogue style. The webinar was star-studded with panel discussions with eminent air quality activists like Prof Sachidanand Tripathi and Mr Piyush Kedia, Indian Express Correspondent Mr Pratip Acharya, Chairman of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) Shri Siddhesh Kadam and esteemed paediatric pulmonologists Dr Indu Khosla and Dr Jagdish Chinnappa. The event was conceptualized by Dr Indu Khosla and given winds by President of NRC Dr Sanjeev Rawat and IAP Mumbai President Dr Nehal Shah. Moderators Dr Abhinaya V and Dr Jagruti Sanghvi very efficiently led the discussion to make an audience of around 45 interactive participants glued till the very end. Dr Tanvi Modi aptly summarised the Indoor Pollutants.

🌺In the end, illustrative posters of Indoor and Outdoor Pollutants that can be displayed in our clinics and communities, were released.

🌺Alone, we may do little. Together, we can take bigger strides. Let’s work towards a cleaner and healthier Mumbai, since clean air isn’t a privilege- it’s our right!
