Basic Life Support (BLS) and IAP Advanced Life Support (IAP ALS) course

<p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺 IAP Mumbai, in collaboration with SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mahalaxmi, organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) and IAP Advanced Life Support (IAP ALS) course at the 1st Floor auditorium of SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mahalaxmi on 22nd and 23rd June 2024.</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺 As usual, it was a rigorous 2-day course reinforcing the concepts of resuscitation, stabilization and team dynamics. The course was a wholesome mix of lectures and practicing of resuscitation skills on mannequins at skill stations, followed by video-based learning stations and finally a MCQ based written test and case-based evaluation stations.</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺 As is well known, IAP has now developed its own course with an indigenous provider manual and Indian videos. <em>Dr Shanti Thakkar (Thane) was the Course Director, Dr Lakshmi Shobhavat ,Course Co-ordinator (Mumbai), Dr Nivedita Patil (Kolhapur), Dr Geeta Bhat (Thane), Dr Rekha Solomon(Mumbai), Dr. Swikaar Panchal(Mumbai) ,Dr Balmukund( Mumbai) as other faculty.</em></p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺 A full complement of 40 candidates had registered for the course; however, 1 candidate could not join at the last minute.
