Breastfeeding and Complementary feeding

🌺6th June is celebrated as Complementary Feeding Day every year al over the country. IAP Mumbai organised an awareness session on 11th June 2025, Wednesday on Breastfeeding and Complementary feeding for the community health workers, ASHA workers, doctors and staff of Akurli maternity home, Kandivali East

🌺Dr Nita Jagad and Dr Arpita Shah Vakil held an interactive session about how to introduce solids and liquids gradually, keep a variety of food groups on the diet, along with locally grown foods in a safe and hygienic manner. Encourage responsive feeding for optimal growth.

🌺 There were about 60 attendees at the session.

🌺The session was coordinated by Dr Nita Jagad on behalf of IAP Mumbai and *Dr Apoorva on behalf of Akurli maternity hospital.
