Breastfeeding awareness session

🌸World Breastfeeding Week

🌸On the occasion of Breastfeeding Week , a Breastfeeding awareness session was conducted on 8/8/26 at Akurli municipal maternity hospital Kandivali East by Dr Nita Jagad, Dr Apoorva (gynecologist) and Dr Dubey(gynecologist)

🌸It was conducted in the ANC opd for pregnant mothers and their relatives and the staff nurses.

🌸 Dr Apoorva and Dr Dubey spoke on importance of starting breastfeeding early, benefits of Breastfeeding for baby and mother and also the society. They explained about different breastfeeding positions, correct latching, adequacy of breast milk, and Dr Nita explained about hand expression, mechanical expression, the issues in Breastfeeding eg engorgement, cracked nipples, mastitis etc and troubleshooting.

Importance of necessity to ask for help whenever needed was explained to the mothers. Importance of milk expression, and its technique were explained in details.
