Childhood Cancer Awareness month

<p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺As a part of the Childhood Cancer Awareness month a CME was organised at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital , Girgaon , Mumbai in collaboration with IAP Mumbai on Illuminating Hope – Recent Advances in Pediatric Abdominal Tumors on 29th September, 2024</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺The meeting was organised by Dr Shweta Bansal Pediatric haemato -oncologist at HNRFH with the support of IAP Mumbai team . It was attended by 45 delegates in person, 20 online and 25 faculty from<br />various premier teaching institutes including Tata memorial Hospital</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺 The session opened with excellent deliberation on share care role of Pediatrician’s in managing a child with cancer which includes role of vaccination , psychosocial care , parent education and guiding them through the course of illness by Director Pediatrics Dr Rahul Verma . There were other dignitaries like Dr Vijay Haribhakti Oncosciences. Dr Ramakant Deshpande Padamshri Awardee explained the role of surgery in managing the pediatric cancer . There was also a talk on breaking bad news by Dr Mahesh Menon</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --></p> <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>🌺There were excellent discussions in Hepatoblastoma Wilms Tumor and Neuroblastoma .
