Complementary Feeding Day

🌺The transition from Breastfeeding to adding solids to a baby’s diet, referred to as complementary feeding, at 6 months age is a vulnerable period, as this time contributes to the initiation of malnutrition among children.

🌺The Complementary Feeding Day is celebrated each year on the 6th of June. On this occasion, an hour- long awareness session on Complementary Feeding was conducted for the staff nurses of Advanced MultiSpecialty Hospital at Vile Parle, by our EB member Dr Jagruti Sanghvi. 28 staff nurses and supportive staff attended this highly interactive session, made interesting with examples.

🌺Dr Jagruti Sanghvi busted certain myths related to weaning foods and strongly discouraged bottle feeding. The session was appreciated by all the attendees.
