🌸 CPR Sanjeevani Program – Empowering the Community to Save Lives
🌸 The CPR Sanjeevani Program was successfully conducted from 19th to 26th July at multiple locations across Mulund, including Fortis Hospital Mulund, Fortis OPD, Ambika Dham, Nutan Vidyalaya, and other community venues.
🌸 The initiative trained around 700 participants, including patients’ relatives, OPD visitors, Rotary members, Rotaractors, parents of paediatric patients, hospital staff, junior nurses, and members of the local community. The sessions focused on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Hands-Only CPR, featuring practical demonstrations and hands-on training to help participants recognize cardiac arrest, activate emergency medical services, and perform effective chest compressions until professional medical assistance arrives.
🌸 The program received an overwhelming response, with participants expressing greater confidence in responding to cardiac emergencies. Each participant also took a pledge to provide Basic Life Support whenever required, reinforcing the message that timely intervention can save lives.
🌸 This life-saving initiative was conducted in collaboration with IAP Mumbai and the Rotary Club of Mumbai Mulund South, reflecting a shared commitment to creating a community of trained first responders—because every second counts, and every trained individual has the potential to save a life.
🌸The programmes were coordinated by Dr Sameer Sadawarte on behalf of IAP Mumbai.
