Free Health Check-up Camp – Purushottam High School
🌺’Health is wealth’ Keeping the proverb in mind, Purushottam High School organized a one-day ‘Free Health Check-up Camp’ in the school hall under the guidance of the director Miss Prema Kotian in association with The Rotary Club Of Bombay Airport on April 22, 2024 There was a request from the rotarian Manish Kothari to arrange for a team of pediatricians to conduct the same. IAP Mumbai very willingly sent a team of 3 doctors – Dr Shrunal Kamdar, Dr Isha Jhaveri and Dr Ameesha Doshi for the camp.
🌺The medical check-up commenced at 9.30 am. 223 students of std 9th and 70 students of 4th and 5th were examined by the doctors and a report was given to them.
🌺Dr Yogini Sheth associated with the Rotary club and Dr Shrunal Kamdar briefed the students about the importance of a nutritious diet to stay healthy improve concentration.
A few tips –
- To have breakfast in the morning.
- To drink 7 to 8 glasses of water every day.
- Include green vegetables, salads and fruits in our diet.
- 8 hours of undisturbed sleep.
- Regulated screen time
- Physical activities like playing outdoors and exercise for 60 min daily.
- Reading books
