Health Talk for Adolescents

🌺On occasion of World Obesity Day celebrations, IAP Mumbai conducted a health talk for adolescents at Swami Vivekanand High School and Junior College, Sindhi Society, Chembur.

🌺The session was conducted by Pediatric Endocrinologist and IAP EB Member Dr. Rachna Keshwani.It focused on causes, complications of childhood obesity and importance of healthy eating and active lifestyle for youngsters.
The adolescents were taught how to calculate their Body Mass Index (BMI) and categorize themselves as Normal/Overweight/Obesity based on these BMI charts which were distributed to the participants.

🌺The talk covered around 500 children in 14-18 years age group belonging to grades 8,9 and 11.

🌺The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Rachna Keshwani on behalf of IAP Mumbai.
