Hepaticon 2024 – YB Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

🌺The Children’s Liver Foundation, ISPGHAN and Indian Dietic Association in collaboration with IAP Mumbai very successfully conducted the Hepaticon 2024 on 21st April, 2024 at the YB Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

🌺The theme of the Mid Term CME was Fatty ‘Liver Disease in Children and Adolescents – Nipping it in the Bud’ in tune with the theme of
the World Liver Day which is celebrated on the April 19th each year. This year’s theme is, ‘Be Vigilant – Get regular Liver check ups and Prevent Fatty Liver Disease.’

🌺The CME had the who’s who in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the country and overseas as faculty. Apart from these, there were talks by Adult gastroenterogist, Bariatric Surgeon and clinical Geneticist as well. The necessity to ‘bring a change’ session saw the representation from the MOHFW as well, to discuss policies and strategies to create awareness and control childhood obesity at the mass level. The case based discussions on childhood and adolescent obesity gave a perfect step wise insight to the problems with a multi-speciality panel to address the same.

🌺There was a final round of the West Zone PG Quiz with the Team KEM, Mumbai emerging as winners from 64 competing teams.

🌺A total of 350 delegates registered for the CME and attended with full enthusiasm.
