International Nurses Day – Basic NRP

🌺On the occasion of International Nurses Day, the Basic NRP was organised at Squatters Colony Maternity Hospital, Jogeshwari East. (MCGM hospital) by IAP Mumbai. The event was held on 9th May 2024.

🌺13 staff nurses from BMC and private hospital, The MO incharge Dr Shabari Pukar, MO incharge of Squatters colony dispensary, Pediatrician Dr Hasnain Deshmukh, 3 maushis, one ward boy and one office staff of the hospital were present for the program.

🌺Dr Nita Jagad explained the need for NRP, preparing for delivery and initial steps, and demonstrated the same.

🌺Dr Rajesh Kasla explained about bag mask ventilation device, safety features, indications and technique of chest compressions and demonstrated the use of bag mask device. Dr Sunila Jathar demonstrated the technique of chest compressions.

🌺All the participants got a hands on training for the resuscitation.

🌺The event was coordinated by Dr Nita Jagad and Dr Rajesh Kasla on behalf of IAP Mumbai and Dr Shabari Pukar (obstetrician and gynecologist) on behalf of Squatters colony maternity Hospital.

🌺We also thank MO Incharge Dr Shabari Pukar, and Sr Incharge Ms Ankita Pednekar, pediatrcian Dr Hasnain Deshmukh and entire staff of Squatters colony municipal maternity hospital for their help and their keen interest in learning.
