International Nurses Day – Basic NRP

🌺On the occasion of International Nurses Day, the Basic NRP was organised at Akurli Maternity Hospital, Kandivali East. (MCGM hospital) by IAP Mumbai. The event was held on 22nd May 2024.

🌺7 staff nurses, 2 ward boys, 7-8 maushis, 2 office staff, MO incharge Dr Apoorva were present for the program.

🌺Dr Sunila Jathar and Sr Punam explained the need for NRP, preparing for delivery, initial steps for resuscitation and demonstrated the same.

🌺Dr Nita Jagad and Dr Tanushree Mukherjee explained about bag mask ventilation device, safety features, indications and technique of bag mask ventilation. They demonstrated the use of bag mask device.

🌺All who attended, were made to practice hands-on the mannequins on different scenarios by Dr Tanushree Mukherjee, Sister Punam and Dr Sunila Jathar.

🌺The event was coordinated by Dr Nita Jagad and Dr Arpita Vakil on behalf of IAP Mumbai and Dr Apoorva (obstetrician and gynecologist) on behalf of Akurli maternity Hospital.

🌺We also thank MO Incharge Dr Apoorva, Sister in charge Ms Bagawe and entire staff of Akurli Maternity Hospital for their help and their keen interest in learning.
