Newborn First Breath Initiative (NFBI)

🌸IAP MUMBAI program – NFBI in 2026 for maternity homes. A session was organised at Akurli maternity home on 20th February 2026.

🌸 Dr Rajesh Kasla and Dr Arpita Shah instructed all the staff about the stepwise approach after every birth. Different case scenarios were given to staff right from ANC red flags to complications during and after child birth and how to act in each situation was demonstrated actually by staff.
Handouts for the required equipments and the resuscitation steps were given to all the staff.
