OAE test – Universal Newborn Hearing Screening

🌺Wish it.. Plan it.. Do it..

🌺IAP Mumbai is extremely happy to share that it completed the OAE test for the milestone 1000th baby at the LTMMC and Sion Hospital on the 27th May, 2025 as a part of its Universal Newborn Hearing Screening program implemented from March this year.

🌺The ongoing project has been extremely fulfilling, not just in picking up refer newborns for further evaluation and referral, but has also created an awareness for the need of a mandatory hearing screening of every newborn at birth.
Awareness talks and counselling by the nurses and the audiologist in the PNC wards have been a regular part of the program.

🌺IAP Mumbai expresses special thanks to Dr Swati Manerkar, HOD Neonatology and Dr Radha Ghildiyal, HOD Pediatrics to facilitate this project with the permission of the Dean.
