Obesity Awareness Session

🌺Obesity- “It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change..”

🌺With the upsurge of obesity in children, it’s the prime responsibility of every pediatrician to educate every child regarding this seemingly morbid medical condition, it’s impact on physical as well as emotional health and means to prevent the same.

🌺For this initiative, IAP Mumbai conducted an Obesity Awareness Session at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, Marathi medium school. It was conducted for 628 students from 6th-9th standard in two batches.

🌺Interactive talks on obesity, nutrition and physical activity were taken for the kids. The first session was taken by Dr Amruta Shirodkar and Dr Aditi Shah and the second session was conducted by Dr Anuja Pethe and Dr Sikha Agarwal.

🌺The program was coordinated by Dr Sikha Agarwal on behalf of team IAP Mumbai with the help of senior pediatrician, Dr Surekha Dhurandhar.
