ORS first- Every Child, Every Diarrhea, Every time

🌸29th July 2026 National ORS Day was celebrated in Pediatric department GMC GT Hospital.

🌸The theme for 2026 is “ORS first- Every Child, Every Diarrhea, Every time”.

🌸Patients and their parents, Interns, Sister in Charge, PHN Sister, Staff Nurses and OPD class 4, enthusiastically participated.

🌸Dr. Bela Verma explained about causes of diarrhea, the clinical presentation, prevention of dehydration and preparation and use of ORS.

🌸The home- based management of diarrhea and prevention of dehydration, avoiding bottle feeding, hand washing practices, nutrition, were explained in detail.

🌸It was an interactive session with queries of parents answered and they were asked questions to confirm that the importance of ORS had been understood by the audience.
