Safe Motherhood – Akurli Maternity Hospital

🌺A health talk was organised on Safe Motherhood, at Akurli Maternity Hospital (MCGM hospital) by *IAP Mumbai. The event was held on 4th May 2024.

🌺30 antenatal mothers who visited the hospital in ANC OPD were present for the talk.

🌺Dr Arpita Shah gave a talk on importance of Preconception counseling, preparing for conception, care to be taken during each trimester, and iron folic acid suppliments

🌺Dr Sneha Kotecha, talked on diet, nutrition, sleep, hygiene, and dos and don’ts during pregnancy

🌺Dr Sunila Jathar gave talk on vaccines during pregnancy, exercise and activity during pregnancy

🌺Dr Nita Jagad explained about postpartum depression and psychosis, preparing for breastfeeding, developing emotional connection with the newborn baby and emotional management during post partum period

🌺The event was coordinated by Dr Nita Jagad and Dr Arpita Vakil on behalf of IAP MUMBAI and Dr Apoorva gynecologist on behalf of Akurli Maternity Hospital.
