World Anemia Awareness Day

🌺”Sharing knowlege occurs when people are genuinely interested in helping others develop new capacities for action ; it is about creating learning processes..”

🌺On occasion of the World Anemia Awareness Day celebrations, IAP Mumbai conducted an interactive learning session on “All about Anemia” at the CSSC, Bandra.

🌺Dr Nehal Shah and Dr Rajesh Kasla discussed about all the aspects about the causes, presentation, treatment and prevention of Anemia by means of pictorial presentation on a power point in their local language.

🌺The session was conducted for about 90 Primary Health Care Workers, Paramedics and staff of the CSSC who would then sensitize the community by home visits and by small lectures at the centre.

🌺Illustrative posters on Anemia Awareness made by IAP Mumbai and posters in Hindi made available by the GOI were shared with them for field visits. Iron supplements for 100 children for a period of 3 months were distributed for their use.
