World Down Syndrome Day

🌺IAP Mumbai celebrated World Down Syndrome Day at the S.P.J. Sadhana School for children with special needs on the 24th of March, 2025.

🌺A magic show was arranged to entertain the children with Down Syndrome along with about 50 other specially challenged children. Children participated and enjoyed the show thoroughly.

🌺 Parallel to the magic show was a session arranged for primarily, their in-house staff and few parents.
Dr Jagruti Sanghvi spoke on the importance of oral hygiene and prevention of dental problems in these children, while Dr Rachna Keshwani addressed the crowd on causes and prevention of recurrent respiratory tract infections in them. Dr Nehal Shah emphasized on the role of age appropriate Immunization along with a mandatory annual Flu shot to be administered to all of them and took up the various queries and concerns regarding the various health issues encountered in them.
The entire staff appreciated the session very well.

🌺Gift bags consisting of attractive bag packs with oil pastels,water colors, pouch, flying disc and x and 0 board game were given to each child of Down Syndrome. A set of about 6 different wooden puzzles to enhance their thinking and improve motor skills were presented to the Principal.

🌺The entire program was co ordinated by Dr Nehal Shah on behalf of Team IAP Mumbai.
