World Down Syndrome Day

🌸 IAP Mumbai, in association with B.J. Wadia Children’s Hospital, celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with a unique Eduparty on 25 March 2026, bringing families of children with Down syndrome together.

🌸 Parents of children with Down syndrome shared their heartfelt experiences, which truly motivated and encouraged fellow parents. Young individuals with Down syndrome also spoke confidently about themselves and their current occupations.

🌸 A multidisciplinary panel comprising doctors from cardiology, ophthalmology, neurodevelopment, endocrinology, fetal medicine, genetics, physiotherapy, and dentistry came together to emphasize the importance of regular follow-ups, while answering parents’ queries and busting common myths.

🌸 This was followed by entertaining session of music and dance. The children also took home the special craft mats they had woven during the event.

🌸 Delicious meals were arranged from a wonderful café run by special young individuals, making the experience even more meaningful.

🌸 This event was coordinated by Dr. Ami Shah, Dr. Sikha Agarwal, and Dr. Reepa Agrawal on behalf of IAP Mumbai.
