World Environment Day

🌺On the occasion of World Environment Day the Mangrove Trail was organised at the Bhandup pumping station by IAP Mumbai in association with Naturalist Foundation for the under privileged children of We Can We Will foundation. The event was held on 11th June 2024.

🌺18 children and 3 volunteers, Mr Farraz, Mr Rishikesh and Ms Pratiksha from We Can We Will foundation and Dr Rajesh Kasla, Dr Neha Nabar and Dr Nita Jagad from Team IAP Mumbai were present for the trail.

🌺During the travel of 1 hour, children were served with healthy breakfast and snacks.

🌺Children were explained about the importance of mangroves, planting trees, identification and characteristics of various plants near wetlands, importance of conservation of environment, identification of various birds and insects in the area. We were lucky to spot flamingos and children learned about their migration, habitats, food, and more detailed information about flamingos.
Mr Shms Ansari was the expert from Naturalist Foundation who passionately explained and guided the children on the trail.

🌺The entire event was coordinated by Dr Nita Jagad on behalf of IAP Mumbai, Mr Suyash and Mr Farraz on behalf of We Can We Will Foundation and Miss Chahat Yadav on behalf of Naturalist Foundation.
