World Obesity Day – Supari Tank School

🌺To commemorate the occassion of World Obesity Day, an Awareness Session was held in Supari Tank School for the teachers, parents and students of class 8th to 10th on 5th March 2024 under the aegis of Navjeet Out reach Centre of Holy Family Hospital in collaboration with IAP Mumbai

🌺The session was conducted by Dr Harvinder Palaha. She discussed on the general considerations of obesity, it’s causes and risks by means of short videos.
The audience was informed about the importance of Healthy diet and Lifestyle, regular exercise and avoiding JUNCS.

🌺Growth charts were distributed and calculation of BMI demostrated.
On request of the school authorities, a short discussion on anemia was also taken.

🌺Nearly 200 children and 50 parents attended the talk.

🌺The session was co ordinated by Ms Liz Maria from Navjeet Centre and co ordinated by Dr Harvinder Palaha on behalf of Team IAP Mumbai.
The whole session was very well received and appreciated by all attendees.
