World TB Day
🌸World TB Day was celebrated by Department of Pediatrics LTMMC & LTMGH and IAP Mumbai by conducting following activities
- Role play : A fanstastic role play by nursing students was performed in Pediatric OPD premises. They busted myths, sensitively destigmatised TB diagnosis and reinforced treatment compliance and prevention.
- A TB focussed 2 hours interactive CME was organised for PGs. Around 20 postgraduate students, SRs and 10 faculty members attended.
🌸The NTEP TB diagnostic algorithms, magament protocols, special aspects of HIV with TB were simplified with case based scenarios. Lot of audience questions were answered throughout the session.
🌸Impactful practical key messages for OPD and IPD management for TB were appreciated by all.
🌸We extend our gratitude to Dr.Radha Ghildiyal, Prof and Head of Department of Pediatrics, LTMMC and LTMGH for her support for conducting these events.
🌸The activities were co-ordinated and conducted by Dr.Yashwant Gabhale , Addl Prof and Programme Director PCoE with Dr.Reepa Agrawal on behalf of IAP Mumbai.
