World TB Day celebrations

🌺As part of World TB Day celebrations, Pediatric department and Department of Pulmonary Medicine Sir JJ Hospital and IAP Respiratory Chapter in collaboration with IAP Mumbai organized a Program on 25th March 2025 from 11.00am – 1.00pm.

🌺The program began with a welcome of the Dean Dr Ajay Bhandarwar and other dignitaries. There were awareness talks given by the Vice Dean, Dr Chhaya Salvi, IAP Mumbai President Dr Nehal Shah and the Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Surase. This was followed by a magic show for the children affected with TB and their families. There were dry fruit packets distributed by Social Worker and toys given away to the children. There was a very interesting skit, “TB ke Sholay” staged by the NICU nursing staff. Parents of TB survivors shared their experience with other parents and motivated them for compliance and regular follow up. Prizes and certificates were awarded to winners of Rangoli, Poster, Jingles and Reel competitions.

🌺The event was well-attended by more then 100 patients, parents, nursing staff and resident doctors.

🌺The entire event was organised by Dr Sushant Mane with the support and guidance of HOD Dr Bela Verma.
