WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY

🌸Pediatric department, GMC GT HOSPITAL Mumbai, along with IAP Mumbai, celebrated the
WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY on 24th March 2026.

🌸Theme “Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver”

🌸Attended by Pediatric and Chest TB Medicine Faculty, UG students, patients, parents, Staff Nurses, and class IV workers.

🌸A Community awareness talk on: Symptoms of TB, Cough hygiene, Use of face masks, Role of Healthy Nutrition, Availability of free medicines from GOI, Importance of Adherence to complete treatment, was given by Dr Bela Verma.

🌸Mr. Gaurav Meher, STS, BMC, informed the patients about the TB Arogya Saathi, Nikshay Mitra and DBT support provide by government.

🌸The program was coordinated and conducted by Dr. Bela Verma, Professor and Head, along with SRs Dr. Pranav Chavan, Dr. Farah Shaikh, OPD Staff Nurse Ms. Shraddha, Department of Pediatrics, GMC and GT, Mumbai.
